On the morning of September 29th, Bertrand Raquet, Chairman of INSA Group and President of INSA Toulouse, Frédéric Fotiadu, President of INSA Lyon, Gérard Creuzet, General Representative of International Relations of French Academy of Engineering, Damien Fabrègue, Vice President of INSA Lyon, and other delegate of the INSA Group visited Beihang Hangzhou International Campus. Huang Haijun, Vice President of Beihang University, Zhao Weisheng, Vice President and Executive Vice President of Graduate School, and heads of relevant unitsincluding the International Cooperation Department, the Academic Affairs Department, and Zhongfa Aviation Institute attended the meeting with the delegation. The meeting was presided over by Vice President Zhao Weisheng.
Huang Haijun, the Vice President, extended a warm welcome and a sincere greeting of the Mid-Autumn Festival to the guests. In his talk, he reviewed the long history of cooperation between Beihang University and INSA Group and the construction and development of the Beihang Hangzhou International Campus. He said that both Beihang University and INSA Group have unique advantages in student education and scientific research and innovation, and both sides have a solid foundation and broad prospects for cooperation. He hoped that both sides would enhance mutual understanding, deepen cooperation and consensus, and accelerate the innovation and breakthrough in training outstanding engineers and international talents.
President Bertrand Raquet thanked Beihang University for its warm welcome. He said that INSA Group had paid attention to the training mode of humanities engineering education and integration of production and education, and had reached multiple consensuses with Beihang University in the field of engineer training. INSA Group was willing to give full play to its advantages and professional abilities in personnel education, carry out all-round and in-depth cooperation with Beihang University, and jointly explore the establishment of a new mechanism and mode for engineer training, to open up a broader platform for Sino-French educational cooperation.
During the visit, the delegation of INSA Group Presidents visited the Beihang Hangzhou International Campus and held special seminars with the principals of computer science, materials science, electronic information and biomedical engineering. Both parties fully exchanged views on deepening scientific and educational cooperation in basic science and applied science between the two universities, expanding double-degree master's programs, and promoting Sino-French educational concepts and academic research exchanges.
