Ⅰ. About the Program
The Zhongfa Aviation Institute of Beihang University cultivates students according to the requirement of the engineering experimental class (Zhongfa Aviation Experimental Class) with a six-year flexible educational system of bachelor-mastercurriculum taught in Chinese, French and English. Theprogram draws lessons from the experience of the French engineer education system and integrates the Chinese "bachelor-master degree" model and the French "preparatory-engineer" model. Students who meet the requirements for engineer training after the completion of preparatory study get free tickets to enter the next stage of study. Students who complete the corresponding undergraduate credit hours and their graduation projects are awarded bachelor's degrees from Beihang University (majoring in Traffic and Transportation, Aircraft Airworthiness Technology, Measurement and Control Technology and Instrument, and Electronic Information Engineering). Students who complete the corresponding credits at the master's/engineer stage, three-stage internship and graduation thesis can obtain the master's degree from Beihang University (majoring in Communications and Transportation) and the engineer diploma certified by the Commission des Titres d’Ingénieur (CTI).
Ⅱ. Cultivation Objectives and Graduation Requirements
With experience drawn from the French"preparatory-engineer" training model, the program aims at cultivating talents who love the motherland, support the leadership of the CPC, abide by laws and regulations, have good and honest behavior, have physical and psychological health, have good scientific research ethics and professionalism, master solid basic theories and systematic specialized knowledge, master necessary knowledge of general and specialized theories of relevant disciplines, and understand the development of this discipline and the frontier of international academic research. The program also aims to train talents who are proficient in a foreign language, can understand literature in their fields of study and are capable of carrying out international academic exchanges. Students are also expected to engage in scientific research or independently undertake specialized technical work, have a strong innovative spirit and academic innovation ability, and eventually become civil aviation engineers who are driven by the mandate to contribute to the nation and society with innovation, entrepreneurship ability and international competitiveness.
Ⅲ. Framework Table of the Training Program, Degree Granting and Minimum Graduation Credit Requirements
This experimental class implements the complete credit system cultivation mode of "bachelor-master", taught in Chinese, French and English, and issuing graduation certificates and degrees in stages. The basic training program of undergraduate courses is 4 years, and the longest period is no more than 6 years. Students who have completed the contents stipulated in theprogram within the prescribed study years and have passed the exams and met the graduation requirements of the university are allowed to graduate and obtain graduation certificates from the university. Students who meet the conditions for granting a bachelor's degree will be awarded a bachelor's degree.
When any students in the experimental class are admitted to a master's program without examination, it is necessary to examine all the courses and practical courses offered to the students in this experimental class in the first three years of undergraduate course, so that those who pass can have the qualification of exemption and enter the stage of engineer (postgraduate). At the end of the fourth year of study, students can obtain a bachelor's degree in one of the following majors according to the credits of the completed course modules: Traffic and Transportation, Aircraft Airworthiness Technology, Measurement and Control Technology and Instrument, and Electronic Information Engineering.
Students who continue to study in the engineer (postgraduate) stage in this experimental class need to complete all the core professional courses required by the engineering experimental class, and the total credits required are 204. The program curriculum for international students is the same as that for Chinese students in principle.
